Sandie Gordon
Assistant Headteacher (Inclusion) & SENDCo
Sandie became a nursery and infant school teacher in 1997, having graduated from King Alfred’s University College, with a specialism in English. Soon into her career she took on the role of SENCO where her passion for a child-centred approach developed. She has recently been awarded a merit in a Post Graduate diploma in Pastoral leadership where she was able to study inclusive leadership in depth.
Sandie has worked alongside individual children and their families from nursery through to Year 6. She believes that you can make a positive difference in a child’s life by providing an inclusive environment and a culture that embraces and celebrates differences in children’s experiences, backgrounds and ways of thinking.
At the weekend, she loves nothing better than to be out walking in the woods with her family and meeting up with her friends. She has a passion for fundraising for charities that are close to her heart and looking for new opportunities that might give her a challenge to go for!
