Amy Turner
Y2 Teacher (Donaldson)
Amy began her teaching career in 2016, following a degree in Primary Education with English at the University of Reading. She taught KS2 for five years at a local school in Lower Earley before joining Floreat Montague Park. During this time, she especially enjoyed working with children to put on a variety of Shakespeare plays at local theatres, through the Shakespeare Schools Festival initiative.
What Amy loves most about teaching primary-age children is the variety of subjects across the school day. In particular, she is passionate about reading and enjoys a variety of books, especially children's literature. She hopes to inspire children to enjoy reading for pleasure as much as she does! She is also passionate about diverse representation in children's books, so that all children have the opportunity to see themselves on the page.
Outside of school, Amy enjoys spending time with friends and family and going for countryside walks. Having grown up in the South West, she particularly likes spending time by the sea when she gets the chance.
